General Lee - Interior

Latest interior pics:
When I first bought the car, the interior was a little shabby. I stripped out most of the dash, including all the panels and the vinyl. It was at this stage I could have converted the car to a tan interior (like most of the cars in Dukes of Hazzard had) but I decided not to because 1) it seemed like too much work and expense (need seat covers, headliner and carpet) and 2) black interiors go well with orange. And here is the result after spraying and dyeing everything in the dash. I also did all the gauges with new graphics, painting the needles orange. It took two days and two crates of carlsberg. I also wired in a mini tachometer as you can see temporarily stuck onto the console. A Sony CD/MP3 player finished off the job with 6x9's up the back and home stereo speakers under the seats.

Fitted a B&M Megashifter and Autometer monster tach, just like in the films.
